In October 2024, Etsy terminated Pirate Ship's API integration with less than a week's notice. 5 million Etsy sellers who relied on Pirate Ship for automated shipping were left copying and pasting tracking numbers manually. The r/Etsy thread asking for a replacement gathered 10,000+ responses in 48 hours.
LogixVast was built to fill that gap — and to fix the broader problem the event exposed. The eCommerce shipping market has three broken options: ShipStation (expensive, owned by private equity, charges $95/month to use your own FedEx account), Pirate Ship (free but now Etsy-incompatible and USPS-only), and EasyPost (developer API, not built for sellers). Sellers needed a fourth option.
